Our Romney lambs are shorn each summer. Their soft fleece, around the 29 micron mark, is scoured in Napier, spun into yarn in Lower Hutt and then woven in Auckland into our range of quality lambswool throws to bring style, warmth and a touch of nature’s goodness to your home.
We also create yarn in a selection of colours that is much loved by our knitting community around New Zealand for its utility and value. Yarn can be purchased here in either 1.1 kilogramme cones or 100 gram balls.
The fleece from shearing our ewes twice each year is supplied direct to our international customers for use in high quality homeware and other innovative products. From our land, we supply wool to customers who value our approach to farming and our care for people and place.
All our wool is fully traceable Land to Market verified and meets the globally recognised Responsible Wool Standard.

Pure New Zealand Lambswool Yarn
We are excited to share our very own Palliser Ridge Lambswool yarn. In the double knit (8 ply) it is perfect for handknitting, machine knitting, crocheting and any other creative projects.
Our knitting yarns are sought after by creators of beautiful natural wool garments and homewares around New Zealand, including kiwi classics like beanies and warm winter jumpers.

Farming regeneratively
In November 2021, Palliser Ridge became Land to Market verified, an accreditation developed by the Savoury Institute.
For the past 20 years Palliser Ridge has been embracing a New Zealand regenerative approach to farming thanks to the farm owners Jim & Marilyn Law’s Vision.
Ata Land continues to help Palliser Ridge by measuring, analysing and providing tools to keep improving the farm by using the Ecological Outcome Verification programme, proving scientifically that they are making positive impacts on the local ecosystem.
